Covering over 1,400 square meters, Häfele once again impressed at Interzum 2019 in Cologne. Presenting the latest in digital networking LED light and sound, furniture connectors, wardrobe systems, sliding and folding solutions and flap fittings.
Under the motto ‘Digital living. We make it easy.’ the Inspiration area displayed the fifth generation of the revised Häfele Loox LED lighting product range; a completely reinvented system. Easy, linear, logical, Loox5 meets the increasing demands for lighting in furniture and rooms as well as the growing need for networking and digitalisation and maximum simplicity and flexibility. Loox5 offers new, surprising possibilities for digital networking via the Häfele Connect app, including the connection to third-party systems.
At Interzum 2017, we expressed our vision for networking smart-ready furniture components. Under the ‘Häfele Connect’ umbrella, what was a pipe dream two years ago became reality in 2019. Häfele presented a range of products and services for networking and controlling smart-ready Häfele products, including the connection to third party systems. A smart micro-apartment was a star attraction, showing how external products such as the refrigerator and coffee machine from Bosch-Siemens appliances, a Philips Hue suspension light or electrical tambour doors and shutters, alongside Häfele branded products, can be controlled via radio switch, wall switch, Häfele Connect app or Amazon Echo voice control.
The Innovation area once again proved our competence in the furniture industry as a whole. A sensational innovation in the Free flap product range and Red Dot design award winner, the new Free Space hinge-less flap fitting was one of the new highlight products of this year's Interzum. An extremely small, and at the same time extremely powerful flap fitting. With its compact design, it creates more storage space in furniture than any other popular model in its class.
Our expertise and passion for furniture connectors was also on show with the latest developments in the Häfele Ixconnect furniture connector product range. Häfele raises the ready-to-assemble furniture area to a new level by making it possible to assemble furniture without tools and in record time. Live construction of a small bedside table with no tools whatsoever and in less than 180 seconds reinforced our expertise as a manufacturer and innovator in the connector area.
The launch of Häfele DressCode wardrobe organisation made an impression with a uniform system to perfectly equip any wardrobe. A modular system with easy-to-combine elements that can be adapted to the individual needs of the users. DressCode becomes a design experience and is customisable with the addition of handles, Loox LED lighting and sliding doors. Maximum versatility means anyone can create their own personal wardrobe system quickly and intuitively using the online DressCode configurator. Construction and assembly is also fast and possible without tools.

This year’s prestigious Kesseböhmer Clever Storage Award for Market Development was awarded to Häfele Australia at the Kesseböhmer Partner Conference the day before Interzum 2019 opened.
We were very honoured to receive the award as judged by our worldwide peers and Kesseböhmer management. Special thanks goes to all involved with assisting in our success from Category Management to the Sales team, Brand Scouts, Marketing team and our warehousing staff who make sure the products get picked, packed and delivered on time.
However, all this couldn't have been achieved without you. You love Kesseböhmer's storage solutions as much as we do which is the only reason how it was possible to win this award. We're very grateful for all your support and of course for choosing Häfele for your projects!

Upcoming Events with Häfele Australia |
Dates to mark in your diary are the 10th to the 12th of July. We are proud to exhibit at the Occupational and Therapy Australia Conference and Exhibition in Sydney for the first time this year. Place these dates in your calendar and we'd love to welcome you on our stand in July.
Another great event to look forward to is the Sydney Home Show from the 18th to 20th of October. This event will also conclude our official events of 2019. We can't believe 2019 is already over half way over.
We'd like to thank everyone attending our Australian wide events this year, especially over the last few weeks. We hosted the KBDi chapter events in QLD and NSW and had the honour to announce the finalists of the KBDi 2019 awards.A huge congratulations goes out to each and all of you once again!
