Scott has been an influential member of the Häfele Team for more than 26 years and began his career with Häfele in the Architectural Hardware and Projects Teams. As the go-to expert for all things Sliding and Folding for many years, Scott moved into Category Management Team in 2020, and is well placed to find sliding and folding product solutions for any application. Building strong customer relationships is an important part of Scott’s role, and working together with our Sales and Technical Teams to achieve beautiful and functional Sliding solutions is key to his success.

Q: What prompted the development of the ADO 200S?
A: As the largest supplier of SDA fixtures in Australia, Häfele have been part of 100’s of SDA projects for over 10 years and developed some long-term relationships with several SDA Developers and SDA Providers across the country. Feedback from our key customers included a cost-efficient swing door operator with all the features and functions required by the specifications set out by the NDIS.
Q: What were the key requirements of our customers?
A: Ease of operation was a high priority to ensure that the product delivered the accessibility requirement for participants, closely followed by ease of installation and commission to improve labour cost efficiency.
Q: How did Häfele develop a product to meet customer requirements, NDIS specifications and Australian construction standards?
A: SDA builds require exact requirements in relation to function and form and we are fortunate to have working relationships with several SDA industry organisations which ensured the product we developed met and exceed these benchmarks. As a global company we have access to a vast network of Häfele procurement channels, allowing us to source and produce a product that suits our local market requirements, exacting German quality standards as well as order quantity and cost requirements.
