Free Flap Fitting

There's no halting the triumphant march of the furniture flap in overhead units. With their ability to open up access to the entire cabinet interior, without the need for interference from having a hinged door jutting out into the room, overhead flap fittings have become a major design feature for most modern kitchens over recent years, as the hardware technology behind these fittings has jumped ahead in leaps and bounds.

The next generation of innovative flap fitting technology, engineered by Häfele, has been recently demonstrated with a successful European launch of the new Free Flap fitting, and Häfele Australia is now proud to announce the Australian launch of this exciting range of overhead flap fittings.

The new Free Flap fitting sets the gold standard for the hinge-less flap fitting market, and will be sure to impress kitchen designers and manufacturers alike with a wealth of new product improvements and additions.

Free Flap is available in two different versions based upon the weight of the panel in question. The Free 1.7 is suitable for panels with a height between 200mm and 450mm. Meanwhile Free 3.15 is suitable for flap heights of 350mm up to 650mm. In both instances, the weight capacity of the Free Flap fitting will be dependant upon the width of the specified panel.

Front panel alignment is child's play using the 3D cam adjustment that is integrated into the clip-on front panel brackets. The end result is a perfect gap pattern and flap closing function, with an unprecedented level of lateral stability. The Free II will hold any flap open in the required position thanks to the multi-stop position feature, which can be accurately set using the holding power adjustment facility. Ease of operation is further enhanced by the integrated fine-tuned soft close mechanism.

Free 3.15 also contains an integrated adjustment switch to change the opening angle from 107 to 90, as required (Free 1.7 achieves the same functionality via the additional of an optional opening angle restraint)
